Dogs explain gas laws

My husband is fond of explaining the gas laws: how things expand to take up the available space — animals do, too. How is it that two little chihuahuas can expand to take up almost an entire bed? Here they’re taking over Daddy’s pillow.

Good friends or . . . .?

They look so cozy together, don’t they? Lola is perfectly willing to share everything with Chester. Chester, on the other hand, doesn’t want to share anything with Lola. Although sometimes he relunctantly will share beds. And sometimes Mommy & Daddy make him share.

Where are our treats?

This picture reminds of those photos where they dogs’ heads are really big in relation to their body.

Lola is a flirt

Although this isn’t the greatest photo of Chester, I think it captures Lola’s flirtiness — almost. Everyone loves her tail, and I have to admit it’s very cute. And Lola knows this. And she uses it. She’ll wag that little tail to get attention.

Chester is a tired puppy

Chester looks tired, doesn’t he? He often does these days. Lola wears him out! It’s hard to believe there’s only two months between them. I don’t know if he’s still just getting his stamina back after his surgery, or he’s really just mellowed out a lot.

Lola's profile

Both Lola and Chester have an underbite. Chester’s makes him look smirky, and Lola’s makes her look pouty. Although sometimes she looks smirky, too, as in the photo below. It looks as if she’s growling at us to protect her stick, but she’s not.
